Description
Math Makers expands on the multi-award winning Slice Fractions series. The player controls a myriad of wacky characters and makes their way through puzzle-filled levels, each of which contains a math lesson hidden in the gameplay. They’ll encounter strange and wonderful creatures, collect pets, and learn math without feeling like they’re studying in school.
History
In 2014, Ululab released Slice Fractions, which would go on to garner multiple awards and become a runaway success. While developing its sequel, the team prototyped other games that would allow them to explore more than just fractions. Math Makers was born. After receiving funding from the Canada Media Fund (CMF) and Creative Export Canada (CEC), the team expanded its prototype and developed a game that would teach kids addition, subtraction, fractions, place value, numeracy and more. They stuck to two core principles: Math Makers needs to be fun, and educational.
